Reach for the Sky, Woodbridge Meadows, Guildford, UK

I've been waiting a long time for the snow to fall, to take the camera down to Woodbridge Meadows which is on my journey to work every morning. This giant rising from the earth is one of many sculptures created by the Tree Pirates, after Guildford Borough Council commissioned the controversial project to remove a number of mature trees from the area. Whatever you think of the project as a whole - these sculptures still make me smile every time I walk past them.
